      Yeah, that could be true, but i'm thinking she's getting more out of it than a piece of paper. Not only does it raise the bar for single mothers everywhere, it also send a powerful message of persistence to her kids/grandkids . Plus, it gives her a major sense of accomplishment. That's worth more than its weight in gold and no one can ever take that away from her.

    older women and men graduate from college every year, why is this news. I think the same way an older person can work in a dead end job for years, they can go back to school in the mean time. Also people dont realize that people coming here from other countries already have an education and degrees or certificates, but coming to the US those degrees or certificates dont worth anything, they may be worth something in the UK. A person can excel in life at any age, an older person may not get a job to match their education but who knows what door getting an education will open.
