Hormone Shot Making African Women More Susceptible To Contracting Or Spreading AIDS

According to a new study conducted by researchers at the University of Washington, a hormonal contraceptive shot, taken every three months by women in Eastern and Southern Africa, is making them more prone to getting or transmitting the AIDS virus. Makes one wonder if these women were using condoms along with the shots as well, because the injectable hormones would prevent unplanned pregnancies, but not stop the spread of HIV.
