70-Year Old Woman Beats, Bites, And Fights 14-Yr OId Boy On School Bus

LAKELAND, Fla. — Recently released video shows a 70-year-old woman attacking a boy on a Polk County school bus by hitting him, pulling his hair and biting him.

Hattie Yvonne Branch told police that a 14-year-old boy on the bus would regularly shout profanities at her, threaten her and pretend to elbow her.

On June 2, police said Branch went into a rage and beat the boy. The incident occurred after the boy was horseplaying and launched a 5-year-old over a seat, investigators said. The boy’s feet then struck Branch, according to investigators.

Branch was arrested July 8 on child abuse charges and was released the next day from jail on $10,000 bail, records show.

    Only she knows why she lost it. I guess she had had enough of this bully, and just took matters into her own hands. Evidentally she says he was doing some type of bullying to her also. Why did he feel it was okay to throw another child over the bus seat, and whether he knew it or not, hit someone else (Ms. Yvonne). This woman was just like I have had enough already and I am going to let you have it. I am not condoning what she did, BUT I'M SURE NOT CONDONING HIS BULLYING. Hopefully he will stop with his bullying.

    Wow, this is so inappropriate. I don't care what that kid do you are the adult and the people who think its okay imagine if that was your child. She should of talked to his parents not beat this kid up. At the end of the day, she looks horrible especially when she's pulling his hair. If I was this boys mother I would be outraged. I would discipline him for his bad behavior but I would demand justice for my child. No one is suppose to lay a hand on your child except for you.
