Michele Bachmann Steps Down from the Presidential Race

Bachmann has suspended her campaign due to her low number of votes from the Iowa caucases–a technicality that allows her to resign from the Presidential race while still legally able to raise funds and spend them. In her concession speech, Bachmann said that the people of Iowa, and of the nation at large, had spoken, which was her cue to step aside. She also condemned President Obama’s health care act as an act moving the country toward socialism.
