In this behind-the-scenes clip of the Malcolm X DVD, the process leading up filming of the movie is explored.  Denzel Washington turned down all other roles for a year while preparing for the role. Among his methods of preparation, Washington studied the Koran and stopped consuming pork and alcohol.
