Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said that 60% of NBA players go bankrupt after retirement because having a large amount of money is a foreign concept to many of them. Once they have the money, Abdul-Jabbar said, they rarely know what to do with it. Abdul-Jabbbar also talked about his new children’s book, What Color is My World?, which he describes as a lost history of black American inventors.
