President Obama’s “war on religion” is explored from various angles. Rev. Michael Livingston, Director of the National Council of Churches Poverty Initiative, says that it’s a ridiculous argument to suggest the President is against religion. Sarah Posner, Senior Editor of Religion Dispatches, says that Republicans have falsely positioned the President as a man actively seeking to destroy the country’s religious integrity. John Garvey, President of the Catholic University of America, has not taken up arms against the President, but says that Obama’s administration has made tings more difficult for him and others with his values.
