“Homeless Hot Spots” Draws Criticism, Donations

A British advertising agency’s marketing stunt made homeless people “hot spots” for free wireless signals during a conference in Austin, Texas. The agency paid people like Mark, a man who’s become homeless because of job layoffs, to carry signals for others to use with their smart phones. People were free to donate to Mark and other homeless people employed paid by the agency.
