Friend Defends Zimmerman in Martin Killing, Tichina Arnold Weighs In

A friend and fellow neighborhood watchman of George Zimmerman, Frank Taaffe, said what Trayvon Martin should have done differently the night of his shooting. Taaffe was challenged by CNN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell. Tichina Arnold said that Martin situation is “disgusting.”

    So does that mean that Zimmerman NEVER say Trayvon’s mother in *his* community? Are there no black people living there in Sandford that would make Trayvon an alien in that community? No one has to answer ANY QUESTIONS unless those questions are asked by local authorities. Zimmerman is not a police officer! He had NO RIGHT to question Trayvon or make a judgement on whether or not he deemed Trayvon should be there or not!

      THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My children are NOT supposed to talk to strangers!!!!! A police officer is one thing, but someone claiming to be neighborhood watch is another!!! Bottom line, he was NOT a police officer and should not have STALKED and HUNTED that young man. THE POLICE WERE ON THERE WAY, he should have let them do their jobs!! Even after he had Trayvon on the ground, why shoot him????? Why not just hold him there until the police arrive (by all accounts, SECONDS later)?? George Zimmerman, clearly got the best of this young man in a fact, evidenced by the fact he was 200lbs more than Trayvon and he was STANDING OVER HIM as he laid on the ground SCREAMING for help…….why shoot him now when he is no longer a “threat”?????

    I understand what his friend is saying, but what he needs to understand is that this man followed this child and the child knew he was being followed and then he chased him and confronted him.  To say nothing of the fact that he has no right to single out black boys and black men who are simply walking in the neighborhood and make them tell him where he is going.  They think his actions are ok because of the previous robberies.  And by the by, how do they know all the robberies were committed by young black men?  Did they see/catch them all in the act?

    This friend is blaming the victim.  That is equivalent to blaming the raped woman or the molested child.  The friend isn’t being of any help.  The friend is only making matters worse.  Continuing to say the neighborhood has been robbed by a certain group of people.  They were all on alert for that certain type and had a mindset against that certain type. ARREST ZIMMERMAN!

    i was listening to this talk show and some guy came on ( a caller) and said whats this black 17 yo boy doing walking in a predominately white neighborhood and that he would have approached him also. makes u think huh. sheesh dont wear a hoody when visiting the better half.

    They would have arrested “Zimmerman” on the spot!  They would have made it crystal clear that this azzhole was NOT caucasian… but hispanic!

    It would have been end of story if Zimmerass didn’t follow him. The operator did not tell him to approach Trayvon and question him… The operator simply said not to follow him, we do not need you to do that! So Mr Frank, kick rocks and tell your friend to show his face! It may be in HIS best intrest if the police get him…You don’t want some pissed off person who feels that they have the right to do what he did…Take the law into their own hands!

    First if all Trayvon did not owe Zimmerman any explanation to why he was there…that was none of his business! Zimmerman was not a POLICE OFFICER!  He wasn’t even a Official Neighborhood Watchmen! How many times have parents, guardians and teachers told children..’Do not peak to strangers and be aware of your surroundings!” Many times we were told that, and have told the same thing to our children. This guy TRYING to defending his friend is crazy!  Have we just stepped back into the 50′s?!!! “Boy, what are you doing on this side of property?” Really???!!! He stalked this child, even after he was told not to purse him. If he would have listened to the 911 dispatcher and stayed put, Trayvon would still be alive. But ooooh no, I’m going to follow this “suspicious looking, acting strange, looks like he maybe on drugs” person. Does that sound like a scared person to you?  I know I don’t follow people that act in that matter. He was looking for a reason to be a wanna be cop! And he found what he had long been looking for, in a innocent 17 year old child, with a hoodie on (that all people wear day to day) with a pack of Skittles and a Ice Tea!!! Come on people wake up…there is no excuse or reasoning that will justify that man killing that child! Race is a major factor here, but it could have been anyone’s child or anyone of us…because there are over zealous trigger happy people in the world like George Zimmerman!

    This guy is not serious! Trayvon did not owe Zimmerman an explanation. Even if he told him that he was going home, would he have believed him? Probably not! Zimmerman is a bully who intended on using authority that he does not have. It is so sad that Trayvon lost his life over this but it will not be in vain. The police department is just trying to come themselves by not arresting him because they know that they botched the investigation.

No Zimmerman should have left him alone Trayvon didnt have to talk to him if he didnt want to. White people need to wake up and realize that anyone can commit a crime not just particularly black men.     Im convinced Florida laws are bullshit. I mean who runs this state, the devil? First Casey Anthony gets off for killing her baby and now we have neighborhood watchmen killng young black men.So if you want to kill your baby go to Florida and do it and if you value your black sons “dont” take them to Florida.     Why should a child have to answer or trust a man he doesn’t know, who is not a police officer, and who has already alarmed him already because he has been following him…He is not helping, sit down please because he is making not only Zimmerman but himself look ignorant. The bottom line is he was a grown man(not a police officer) and this was a child going home.I heard the 911 tapes, the 911 dispatcher told him not to follow him he did it anyway, he was a felon in possession of a gun that kill a child. this man should be in jail not sitting at home.There are laws and procedures in place if u see a crime.So Zimmerman called the police, they were on the way, he was told not to follow him, he did it anyway.He didn’t let the police do their job because he felt they couldn’t or wouldn’t so he did it himself.  Had he had proper training like a police officer he wouldn’t have murdered a child. Had he followed directions given to him by the 911 dispatcher he wouldn’t have murdered a child. Now he has to lie to keep himself out of jail and is using the law as protection.He needs to be deported back to Mexico and stripped of his citizenship never being allowed to step foot on US soil and if he is an American he needs to be charged with murder and child abuse, he should go to jail and have his children taken away

    Are you kiddding me? Did anyone hear what I heard? This kid (walking on the street minding his business) was supposed to answer some creedant following him what was he doing in that neighborhood? Last  I checked this was 2012, and innocent people did not have to explain why they were in a certain area of town. Least you forget , We have no MASTERS anymore!!!!! So what this idiot is saying is that if a white man comes up to a black boy and asks what’s your business here? this kid again who was walking and talking to his girlfriend, should have laid out the explaination that he (Frank Taaffe) so proudly and stupidly said to jane-Valez Mitchell. Again I ask are you kidding me?. And by the way Frank Trayvon was visiting his “Dad and soon to be Step mom,” but your friend put an end to that!!!!

    Just one minute. Did Frank not take a moment and ponder that if that were his child, and his son was walking in a neighborhood that he was a guest in, do you mean he would be alright with some guy ” lets call him “Kevon” approaching his son and asking him  what was his business in the neighborhood was, and a subsuquent altercation broke out, and Frank’s son was shot and killed, do you mean he would be ok with that or would he not want to see the perpertrator arrested and brought to justice? Or are they’re various shades of gray? Read between the lines AMERICA. We as a people have had to march, protest, fight and yes DIE to get anyone to hear our cries. I don’t understand how this country can come together when 911 happened, but still are so racially divided. It scares me for the children growing up. I pray Frank never has an experience such as Tracy and Sybrina had, I wonder if he’d be cheering for the opposing team then?  just another thing that make you go HMMM……… Try peace and love instead of fear and hatred, that’s what got all this started in the first place.
