According to Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend, who was on the phone with him until his shooting, police never called her afterward despite obtaining Martin’s call log and her number. The girl, who has decided to remain unnamed for the time being, could be critical witness in the Martin case should it go to trial. Additonally, ABC’s report makes note of the fact that Sanford police sent a narcotics investigator instead of a homicide detective to the site of the shooting.
