Congressman Bobby Rush, who was ousted after speaking in front of a Congressional forum for wearing a hoodie, argued against the House rule that he violated. He explained that he wore a hoodie to make a point about Trayvon Martin’s death. The forum taking place was about hate crimes in the United States.
