At a press conference in the Rose Garden, President Obama refuted claims by GOP Presidential hopefuls that he doesn’t believe in “American exceptionalism.” Obama said that in fact, he made a speech about the importance of the matter, and argued that he’s an example of that exceptionalism. He went on to say that he would cut candidates some slack because of the intense demands of election season.
