Poll: Whites, Republicans Most Likely to Say Trayvon Martin Coverage Overdone

A new Pew Research Center poll found that whites and Republicans were the most likely groups to say that there’s been too much media attention paid to the Trayvon Martin case. Compared to the 16% of blacks who said there’s been too much coverage, 43% of whites thought the same. Politically speaking, 56% of Republicans thought there’s been too much coverage compared to 25% of Democrats. Grio columnist Earl Ofari Hutchinson weighed in on what the poll numbers say about Americans.
