During George Zimmerman’s bond hearing, his father, Robert Zimmmeran Sr., recalled his son’s injuries from the night of Trayvon Martin’s shooting via phone. George’s lawyer, Mark O’Mara, pressed him for details. Robert said that when he saw George the day after the shooting, his son’s lip was cut and swollen, and his nose had a protective covering over it.
