George Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, explained the reasoning behind his client’s apology at his bond hearing. O’Mara said that he preferred to have the apology happen in a private setting, but that his preference was impossible. Further, O’Mara said that Zimmerman’s apology directly addressed two questions that Trayvon Martin’s mother had said she had for him.
