Word on the Street: Would You Fight Back or Sue After an Assault?

In light of Jennifer Willaims’ lawsuit against Nia Crooks for assault on Basketball Wives, Bossip’s Jay asked L.A. pedestrians whether they would fight back or sue in the case of their own assault. Most said that they would fight if they knew their assailant had no money. Additionally, Jay asked two interviewees whether they felt Williams is taking the right course in suing Crooks.

    I’m team Jenn, and if I had never had a fight and knew I couldn’t fight…then hell yeah there’s other ways of fighting to win..in the courts! At least that will teach a itch to buck wit her again…Tammi was trynna sue Evelyn last season over a comment. So how dare her say we take care of it n tha streets!! Shaunie you sooo stupid u allow Evelyn to do what she wants like its her show, or is Evelyn givin it to u good??? I would think Shaunie would tell Evelyn bout herself. Messin her Bday dinner up w ho mouth Evelyn goin at Jen, or like why tha hell u throwing bottles dam near hittin me in tha face goin at Kenya, or maybe even why u bringing outsiders to a dinner that u know Finna b some ish? For Shaunie to listen to Ev crying and her excuses every time some drama pop off and not keep it 100 wit her is just crazy. How many times does Jen gotta show up and hold her peace only to b threaghten and hit up side tha head?? Pay me!!!! Evelyn should pay for Nia’s lawsuit bcuz she received Jenns paperwork and that’s why she brought this scally wag.

      I agree. Evelyn is a jump off. What respectable woman would tell her man to let her know when he is going to cheat? One that wants to be in the spot light. Chad will not marry this chick. Shaunie is not a regular to the day to day BS on the show. Evelyn is straight hood rat. The show is trash. I have stopped watching. When the show has some real basketball wives, maybe I will watch again.

      Well said and I agree. Evelyn is just mad because unlike her Jen used the show as an opportunity to further solidify her womanhood and stand on her own two feet. She’s also mad because Jen told her the truth about her man and Jen is finally being her own person and not running around stuck up Evelyn’s butt anymore. Tammy is soooo phony one minute it’s ” if you have something to say about me say it to me” but the next minute she talking crap about Jen. How come she didn’t say it to Jen’s face? You were also on point with the whole “Shaunie not calling Evelyn out on all her drama” situation, yet she is quick to try to call everybody else out though. When I do watch the show, I do it online just so I can fast-forward through all the buffoonery. I only stay tuned just to see how things will ultimately turn out for Jen. Royce is cool too, I like how she stuck to her guns as far as the whole trying to “be in the circle”, not kissing anybody’s behind just to hang out with them and all that other non-sense.

    A weak person who refuses to defend themselves makes me SICK to my stomach. You would be suprised at what you can do when your back is against the wall, so that “not a fighter” is BS. MOST grown women aren’t “fighters” like that. Besides the point. Jen won’t even TRY to defend herself, but keeps running her bougie mouth. She just needs to leave the show… in fact, I’m betting this is Jen’s last season.

Get an education and travel abroad and educate their minds and live life instead of watching these trashy shows and fighting. There is a whole world out there that’s much more interesting than putting your hands on anyone or supporting those who do so.  A WEAK PERSON is one that uses violence as a way to achieve a result. That person is incapable of rational discussions. As someone with a Black Belt, I could easily “kill” someone but I would walk away and get the law involved before I resort to slapping someone!     Jen, is right people need to realize it is not okay to put your hands on other people. What are we teaching our younger generations? Violence. Last season on Basketball Wives has just gotten out of hand, as a black woman I can understand why we are stero typed as mad, black anger women.
