DMX finally reconnects with his mother, after years of estrangement. His mother apologizes for hurting him, and explains an action of hers that made him feel abandoned ever since. She also says that she loves him, which he’d never heard before.

      I teared up too because I’ve been there as well and can understand the deep emotional scar it leaves behind. The only exception in my case was that I had both parents in the home but the my father was an abuser to my mother and us. More physical towards my mother and more mental with the children. We wittnessed the physical abuse from as early as 6, 5, 4 and for me all the way up to 27 when I decided to tell my father, NO MORE putting your hands on my mother. They are still together after 45yrs of marriage but it has put a strain on our relationship. To this day I can’t face my mother and father in the home we grew up in without feeling those bad vibes. It’s always a heated arguement with me staying away from them because the words, I’m sorry to have hurt you kids has and will never come out of either one of their mouths! I’m 42 with no children because of years of stress and anxiety. Just my thoughts!

    Well no tears here simply because from DMX’s very humble beginnings,crack binges, to his rise of Rap Stardom,his marriage, births of his children and since his grandmothers death(her mother whom he did feel loved by) this woman has had the opportunity to reach out and embrace her son. And only now through a reality TV show where EVERYBODY including her is getting a pay check are we suppose to believe she’s sorry? Well not me!!

    I wouldn’t forgive her if she were my mom.  She had years to explain herself and make amends.  In years to come when she needs something, she’ll expect him to be there for HER!!

    I thank God every day that He made it possible for me to not have children when I was not emotionally or mentally ready for them. My son’s are the reason I breathe and I can’t imagine ever doing anything to bring harm to their lives.  I pray that X finds the strength to face all of his demons and decide to turn it around. God is lighting a path for you but “You” have to follow it. As much as we would like to make you get better, we can’t. You have got to want it for yourself.

    Omg, I can relate to DMX’s feeling of abandonement and estrangement in regards to a parental figure luckily for him he had the opportunity to hear a sincere aplology from his mother

    BULLSH*T…His mom is still lying to him. There is no way she couldnt have told him goodbye or came back to see him. She knows tht X still got a lil ca$h laying around…Im hurt for son cuz his mom clearly see’s that’s he’s hurt from all of her BS and she still is lying to the man.

    I watched this video amd just cried and cried, no matter what happened in the past thats just what is, the past!!! He needed to hear what happened in her words and now he needs to let go of all that! I pray for Dmx and Tashera. As long as he held on to his troubles with his mother, he will never have respect for any woman. I pray that now he can move on and be a better man!

    Wow this is so emotional. Crying. My heart goes out to him. All this time he has been judged for all the pain he has had to carry, a burden so heavy. I hope now he can go back to that 7 yr old child within and tell him were going to be o.k. and make forward moves towards healing.

    Her saying she didn’t abandon him is bs but he needed to hear her say sorry and that she loved him. It’s hard to move past some things until the perpetrator acknowledges their wrongdoing and makes things right.

    I respect the fact that DMX’s mother came to talk to him, he truly needed that – i would suspect that his mother had a hard life as well, and there are people that if they were never shown love they don’t know how to give love. Who is to say what type of life she had. I have heard awful stories from people about the court system and how people get rail-roaded into to giving up their kids stating that it’s for the best of the child, and meanwhile, the child gets lost in the system, past around from house-to-house, place-to-place, getting no love at any place they go. Breaks my heart for both him and his mom. She has her own story that none of us know about, while DMX is trying is best to put his story in place. He is full of pain for what has been done to him but he will NEVER get the help he really needs until he is ready. I pray that he doesn’t leave this earth without a healing and I pray that all of his kids never suffer they way he has. I would never judge him or his mother – we all make mistakes and being a parent is the hardest job anyone could ever have in life.
