Bobby Brown Says Whitney Houston Abused Drugs Before They Met



Bobby Brown said that Whitney Houston used illegal drugs before he was with her, in an interview with Today’s Matt Lauer. Brown also asserted that he’s not to blame for her death. Additionally, the artist said that when he saw Houston just a week before her death, she looked like she was doing well.

    yes whitney was doing drugs for years everybody in the music  industry has done drugs everybody has drug issues some of the older ones are gone trhough.

    whitney said it herself that he didnt start her on drugs,however it got worst after she met him…but to blame him for her death is crazy,go called her home for a reason,she had her demons but nobody is perfect and we cant sit there and judge her becuase of her demons,god has her now so everybody needs to let her rest in peace..RIP Whitney

      But why tell it now and again? His book, post divorce, said a lot of damaging things about Whitney. He didn’t care about his daughter’s well being then and now. His daughter will be affected by his determination to destroy her mother’s legacy. Whitney cleared him already. Why is this necessary?

    She may have been on the pipe prior to meeting Bobby but hooking up with him was like marrying the pusher.  Dancing with the devil.  That union was damned from the get-go.  And, Whitney, being arrogant, stupid and pig-headed by ignoring the rest of the world who was hollering for her to leave that fool, flushed down the toilet a stellar career it took her decades to build.  And her life.  Don’t try to weasel away now, Bobby.  You have some culpability.

        You care to expand?  On some level, Bobby must have been jealous of Whitney’s fame.  She achieved a status which dwarfed his and he could NEVER elevate himself to that level – certainly not with her staying power.  It must have been some consolation to know he had a certain amount of control over her – whether she could take her career to even greater heights or sabotage it.  Pimps use that technique to control their prostitutes.  I think jealousy was a factor.  Nobody can handle being ‘Mr. Houston.’  And he very well may have enabled her with some kind of subconscious and malicious intent.  Jealousy could very well have been a motivator in him contributing to the derailment of her career.  Just like Ike could never bear to see Tina outshine him.  If you don’t think a little (or a lot) of that contributed to the be-smirching of their marriage, you’re crazy.  On that level, I think Bobby’s partially responsible.

          Everything that you have written has been with merrit, not malice. You saw what a lot of people saw. What bothers me is how he begs for attention. This bombshell interview was designed to destroy her legacy. His hatred for her continues. Not once has he considered what this could do to his daughter. Mother’s Day is approaching. This will be the first of many more holidays without her best friend and mother. He could care less, as long as he is getting attention. No wonder she wants nothing to do with him. She saw way more than what we read about.

          At the end of the day, Whitney was responsible for her actions. You forget they have been divorced for 5 years, that’s good amount of time for her to recover and get herself right.

          Bobby Brown did not care about Whitney’s success, she was on the downcline in the early 2000′s. That was about drugs and partying to much, the demons of a “Hollywood Fast Life”

          Your logic is dumb and sounds childish.  How do you even know that fame was even important to the two of them in their marriage.  Bobby had achieved comparable success when he met her.  You obiviously don’t like Bobby Brown and are heads over hill in love with Whitney.  She wasn’t an angel any more than Bobby was the worst person ever.  Obviously, you know very little about women and their behaviors.  Wait until you’re a little older.

           That is so ignorant of you to make these statements about him…you were not there…how do you know she wasn’t his pusher…only she had the money to maintain the habit.  There may have been some jealousy but that had nothing to do with Whitney being holed up in her drug den. Why is it that allegedly he has been clean for years and she wasn’t. I love Whitney just as much as anyone does, I prayed for her when she was going through, but the bottom line is that she did this to herself; Bobby gave her a divorce and went on with his life.  People just want to blame him…who is the blame for Bobbi Kris? Is it Whitney or is that all Bobby’s fault too? Ya’ll need to stop…Whitney was very head strong and rebellious…

      I do believe they were in love but that emotion becomes clouded under the influence.  In being fair to them I wouldn’t say it was damned from the beginning.  Love is love and Whitney was just a responsible for her behavior as Bobby is for his.  Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved Whitney and had her back through the good, bad and ugly but the truth is the truth. 

      I think Bobby was a moocher but that’s another conversation.  They were young and in love and her success, their arrogance and addiction took them to dark places.

      I’m glad that you saw that program. His drug abuse ruined his relationship with New Edition and it destroyed his solo career. At one time, he was worth 30 million dollars. Let the Boy Scout continue to lie. Mature people can see through that. If she was so flawed, why didn’t he walk away from the beginning? Why marry and have a child with a drug abuser? He enabled her and had a good time on her dime. As a true ingrate, not only did he spit in her face, but now he spits on her grave. He will never have peace.
