Audra McDonald expressed how honored she was to be considered adequate by Aretha Franklin to play the singer in a biopic. McDonald spoke on once meeting Franklin and being impressed with the music legend. Further, McDonald said that she would be excited by the opportunity to play Franklin should it arise.
