Brea Persley, a 13-year-old girl, has been banned from her school after complaining to her parents that her teacher called her nappy-headed. The teacher, Kelly Dempsey, said, “sit your nappy-headed self down” to Persley in front of their entire class, causing students to laugh. The principal of the school told Persley’s parents that Persley was a mean kid, and that “bad things need to happen” to children like her.
