Seth Grahame-Smith and Timur Bekmambetov, the writer and director of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter respectively, spoke on the thematic substance of the movie. Bekmambetov expressed his excitement for filming a 19th century period piece in 3D. Grahame-Smith, who wrote the novel his script is based upon, explained why his first “mash-up” novel, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, hasn’t been adapted for film yet.
