Tim Burton admitted that the title of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter alone was enough to pique his interest in producing the movie. He went on to say how his impression of the historical Lincoln as a “haunted” man convinced him that film’s vampire-killer angle was a conceivable fit. Burton also discussed whether he would ever go back to directing superhero films such as his 1989 movie, Batman.
