Benjamin Crump addressed the recently-surfaced video of George Zimmerman giving his account of the night he shot Trayvon Martin the day after the incident. Crump said that what was more important the video was Zimmerman’s written statement the night of the shooting. He went on to point out that Zimmerman had written that he’d only gotten out of his car to look at street signs to help police more quickly reach his location, although the 911 tape recording of Zimmerman’s call to police contradicts that claim.
