President Obama commented on the Supreme Court ruling the struct down key parts of the controversial Arizona law regarding immigration. However, he remains concerned that local police can still check the immigration status of anyone suspected of being in the country illegally. In a written statement, Obama addressed why the ruling was overall a favorable one.
