Croatia named Blue Ivy Carter an honorary citizen of the island HVar. Jay-Z and Beyonce vacationed there when they came upon blue ivy, an experience which the couple recorded and which explained their daughter’s name. The mayor of the island wrote a letter to Jay-z and Beyonce saying that the name of their daughter has brought media attention and tourist promotion to HVar, and that because of it, Blue Ivy Carter would be made an honorary citizen.
