Mariah Carey confirmed via Twitter that she will be an American Idol judge for the show’s next season. Carey’s new role on the show comes after announcements from Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler announcing their departures. Carey is one of the biggest stars to ever judge a reality competition series.
