President Obama spoke on gun violence during a New Orleans speech. He said that while he respects the special place guns have in American tradition, weapons like AK-47s have no place on American streets. He went on to say that he would move forward to tighten gun laws when it comes to mentally unstable individuals and those with criminal backgrounds.
