A black couple in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, was unable to have their wedding after their predominantly white congregation pressured their pastor not to marry them. The congregation specified race as its reason for not wanting the marriage to happen in its church. The church, the First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs, is one the couple attends, but are not members of officially.
