This song is not Lupe Fiasco featuring Guy Sebastian. Guy wrote the song with his friend David Ryan Harris, and then recorded it, leaving spots where he thought the rap should go. He then submitted it to Lupe to ask if he would rap on it. Lupe agreed and Guy recorded and produced Lupe’s rap in his Sydney studio. It was released in Australia and New Zealand as Guy Sebastian featuring Lupe Fiasco, and while I believe both artists share equal weight in their contiribution in the song, it would be very unfair if Guy was relegated to a feature in this second release , as If not for Guy the song wouldn’t even exist. Guy’s management has said Guy will be given equal credit in this second release of the song. So I am assuming it will be Lupe Fiasco and Guy Sebastian, not Lupe Fiasco featuring Guy Sebastian, as the second option would be very disrespectful to the original creator.
