At the 2012 Republican National Convention, Mitt Romney said that he wished “Obama had succeeded,” because of his wishes for the United States to prosper in general. He encouraged his supporters to help him pave the way for a better future than Obama has provided. Romney officially accepted the Republican Party’s nomination at the Convention.
