Black Girl Thrown Out of Class After Wearing Brown Tights


A young girl was dismissed from class for wearing brown tights that a teacher found too “racy.” The girl’s mother says that she feels her daughter was discriminated against for wearing brown tights while having a dark skin tone. Although the school’s policy states that no tights should be worn by students, the girl’s mother said that her daughter had worn tights of other colors before with no problem.

    I agree that it’s inappropriate dress attire and her mother knows it, because she wasn’t born yesterday. Leggings are different from tights and some schools don’t even allow tight leggings unless they are worn underneath something such as a skirt or ripped jeans. Tights alone NO!

    I don’t blame the school. These kids just as ratchet as some of these parents. If you are going to put that stuff on a kid, put a long tshirt that covers her butt. As soon as some man looks at the child wrong the parent wants someone arrested.

    Why is this news worthy? Go home and change. What’s with parents nowadays? Black people need to get upset about the right causes. Running around causing confusion about some tights THAT ARE NOT PANTS ANYWAY!!!!

    When did leggings become suitable for school? Where are her jeans or skirts? I saw at least 5 pairs of leggings. SMDH!!
