Ne-Yo discussed how he got the inspiration to write the Beyonce single, “Irreplaceable.” He recalled using his aunt’s story of moving on from a cheating boyfriend to write the song’s lyrics. Although Ne-Yo initially tried to sing the song for himself, he thought the content would be better received by a woman–who turned out to be Beyonce.
