Christoph Waltz on ‘Django’: Saying the N-Word Wasn’t Challenging for Me

Christoph Waltz acknowledged that as an Austrian, he cannot fully grasp the effect slavery has had on American culture since its inception. He went on to say that the N-word was not difficult for him to use while in character during the Django Unchained shoot. Waltz argued that the words only have a negative meanings when people attach them to phrases.
