Tarantino Defends Use of the N-Word in ‘Django Unchained’

In an interview, Quentin Tarantino defended how many times he used the N-word in his slavery film, Django Unchained. He argued that it would be “ridiculous” to pull punches on the word despite the film’s setting of 1858 Mississippi. In another talk, Tarantino said that using the word is his way dealing “truthfully” with the time period.
